It's 2,081 miles from Boise, ID to Huntington, WV. By car. It's only 2,040 miles if you walk. Two kids growing up in the 90s living on different sides of the country. Loving life, family, friends, movies, music, sports and ultimately...advertising. Following our hearts and careers we managed to find each other in the city that never sleeps. It's been an amazing journey filled with curves, twists, a few beaches, a rad hotel, and a really great ski mountain.
Now it's time to lock it down!

We chose the Avalon Hotel & Bungalows because we love its small, boutique feel. And ultimately dream of having all of our closest friends and family take it over for the weekend! We would LOVE to have you join us on property. It's also kid and pet friendly, per Frankie Doodle's request!
While our room block has been filled there are still good rates for the Avalon on 3rd party sites such as kayak.com and booking.com (make sure to note the Palm Springs location). Please check there for the latest. We still dream of taking over the Avalon and having all of our favorites within arms reach! Other hotels within walking distance from the wedding venue are Ingleside Inn, Holiday House, and the Kimpton Rowan.

October in the desert
Fall is a great time to visit Palm Springs. The average temp in October is 81. It can be low 90s at midday and upper 60s over night. Pack light. Bring a bathing suit! Below are some more particulars for your stay....
The closest airport to the Avalon Hotel & Bungalows is Palm Springs International (PSP) which is a short 8 minute taxi or Lyft away.
Next is Ontario, CA (ONT) just over an hour away. Then Orange County's John Wayne (SNA) at less than 2 hours drive. Followed by San Diego International (SAN) at 2 hours and 40 minutes. Lastly, Los Angeles International (LAX) at 3 hours and 15 minutes.
Rental cars are readily available at all airports. There is also a new amazing car service thing called Tesloop if you're coming from/going to LA and prefer to ride in Teslas...and it's reasonably priced.
things to do:
The New York Times Travel section wrote a 36-Hours in Palm Springs piece here detailing some great activities in the area.
A few callouts are hitting up one of the many area golf courses, taking the aerial tramway up the cliffs of Chino Canyon, visiting Joshua Tree National Park only an hour away, or grabbing the Avalon's house bicycles to cruise downtown.
N. Palm Canyon Drive, just a block from the hotel, has a plethora of fantastic drinking and dining spots for you to check out as well. Fun! Special shout out to Melvyn's Bar, Seymour's (the speakeasy inside Mr. Lyon's), Workshop, Cheeky's, Birba, and Las Casuelas Terraza.
